Like a drug.

Okay, so turns out that distance running is kind of addictive.  I wondered what everyone was talking about when they said "So when's your next one then?"  Before my half marathon experience, I thought they were mad.  Now I get it.

It's fairly simple to explain.  Now that my personal best time is in cyberspace, I have the overwhelming urge to knock some time off it.  Even if it's only a minute or so.  Thing is, I have a feeling it's going to get rather addictive.  Proof of this is that I have entered my next half marathon, in Seaford on June 3rd.  And I intend to smash my 1 hour 49 minutes by at least five minutes.

I spoke with a student at my work who was running the Hastings half for the first time too.  It seems he has the same addiction.  Our first one done, we want more.  More, we tell you, MORE!

So, anyway, training has started.  And I know where I went wrong with my first one.

Time to put those right...
